Royal Mansour Casablanca: the excellence of an icon

This is the story of a rebirth, that of an iconic palace admirably restored to all its 1950s modernist splendour. Aesthetics of extreme refinement blending revisited Art Deco style and clean lines, generous volumes, breathtaking views from the 23rd floor.
The common areas (three gourmet restaurants, including La Brasserie by Éric Fréchon, a 2,510 m² spa, etc.) and the rooms (149 rooms, including 39 suites and 13 apartments) embody the hallmarks of exceptional hospitality.
The room to book: from the 15th floor for panoramic views.
The price: from €700 for a Deluxe Guest Room, including breakfast.
Royal Mansour Casablanca . 27 Avenue des Forces Armées Royales.
Radisson Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle: design, with style

Nestled in the very chic Gauthier district, this recent address combines 1930s reminiscences and avant-garde design. Black and white photos, light wood floors, beige and grey tones, and cozy comfort in the 133 rooms and suites: the Scandinavian touch is unmistakable.
The hotel is designed as a living space with two restaurants, one of which is a rooftop favorite with Casablancans: 360° views, live music, and a small pool with a sun deck. The room to book: a standard room with a “horizon” view of the city.
Price: from €123 for a double room with breakfast.
Kaan Casablanca Hotel, new generation

This new generation hotel developed by Experienciah (formerly Atlas Hospitality) is one of the symbols of the evolution of the hotel industry in the White City, ticking all the boxes of a lifestyle targeting young people: rooftop mixing cocktails, Latin and Asian dishes and funk/electro soundtrack, Moroccan canteen, works by local artists and moderate prices.
The ultimate artistic touch: collaborative works, poems, paintings, and stories await guests feeling creative in the 110 comfortable rooms and studios.
The room to book: an Escape Game room for the ultimate experience!
Price: from €104 for a double room, including breakfast.
Kaan Casablanca Hotel . Boulevard Moulay Hassan. Such.
Sofitel Casablanca La Tour Blanche: the renewal

Thirteen years after making headlines with its 24-story tower, the Sofitel Casablanca La Tour Blanche is back in the spotlight thanks to a renovation plan that reflects its avant-garde spirit. With the brand-new lobby unveiled at the end of April, two new restaurants designed by Paris Society Consulting are already set to generate buzz in early May: La Brasserie Flâneur, a travel-themed club-style establishment, and Min Koy, a sophisticated Japanese restaurant featuring signature cocktails.
To enhance the lifestyle experience, a renovation of the 171 rooms and suites is also planned, with completion expected by 2027. The room to book: a truly extravagant experience, the Opera Suite with its large terrace seemingly floating above the city.
Price: from €159 for a classic double room with a city view.
Sofitel Casablanca La Tour Blanche . Rue Sidi Belyout.
Doge & Spa: a 1930s gem

Time seems to have stood still in this sumptuous private mansion (Relais & Châteaux), furnished in the purest 1930s style, from the wood-panelled lounge-bar-library to the stained-glass-adorned restaurant. Located in the heart of the Art Deco district, the 16 rooms and suites, each dedicated to a 20th-century artist, vary in style but are meticulously maintained, with antique furniture and exquisite fabrics.
The food is absolutely delicious, whether you choose Moroccan cuisine at Jasmine or Mediterranean fare at the charmingly intimate Doge Café on the rooftop terrace. The standard room is spacious (at least 30m²).
Price: from €180 for a double room with breakfast.
Doge & Spa, 9 rue du Docteur Veyre.
Barcelo Anfa Casablanca: modernism & Art Deco

Behind the modernist facade of this historic hotel with 206 rooms and suites, the design draws freely from Art Deco. Its highlights include beautiful views of the Hassan II Mosque and the distant ocean from the 8th floor (out of 12), an efficient spa, and a tranquil outdoor pool (14.5 meters long, unheated) with a terrace bar on the 3rd floor.
The room to book: a Premium room with a sea view (not one facing the busy boulevard).
Price: from €171 for a double room with breakfast.
Barcelo Anfa Casablanca . 44 Anfa bd. Such. : +212 (0) 5 20 00 90 00.
Four Seasons Casablanca: feet in the ocean

Its location is unique: it’s Casablanca’s only luxury urban hotel directly on the oceanfront, with its feet in the sand. Built into the cliffside, the U-shaped building provides shelter from the wind, and the direct Atlantic views are reserved for a dozen of the 186 contemporary rooms and suites, all decorated in sandy tones. Amenities include a heated outdoor pool, three restaurants, including a new signature restaurant (Nikkei and Latin American) in the garden, a beautiful spa, and an art gallery.
The room to book: inside the U-shaped building (preferably to rooms overlooking the noisy boulevard).
The price: from €420 per night for a double room, including breakfast.
Good to know: the hotel is alcohol-free.
Four Seasons Casablanca Anfa Place Living Resort . Boulevard de la Corniche.
Casablanca Hotel, time regained

As in the eponymous film, one might almost expect to bump into Ingrid Bergman in the retro setting of this Art Deco-inspired hotel. The lobby displays all the hallmarks of the style – black-and-white tiles, gilding, and mirrors – as do the 14 themed suites (bridal, nautical, Orient Express, etc.) and, more simply, the 54 refined rooms.
The garden (with an unheated pool) is a definite plus, as is the spa with Biologique Recherche treatments.
The room to book: a superior room with a pool view, in a quiet location.
Price: from €236 for a double room, including breakfast.
Casablanca Hotel, 19 bd Moulay Rachid.
Casablanca Marriott Hotel, a spectacular beehive

Between cascading bay windows, walnut panelling, and curved lines, the lobby —a gigantic 30-meter-high atrium —is a vibrant homage to the lyrical brutalism so dear to Jean-François Zevaco, the architect of the original building. A conference hotel with 305 rooms, including 31 executive suites offering understated comfort, and 1200m² of meeting space, it’s a hive of activity: good to know if you appreciate peace.
No pool or spa, but a Technogym fitness center and a lounge terrace.
The room to book: on an upper floor for the best light.
Price: from €145 for a double room, including breakfast.
Casablanca Marriott Hotel . 100 Avenue des FAR. Casablanca
Hyatt Regency, a historic address

This large vessel, moored at Place des Nations for over 50 years (renovated in 2017 and 2020), remains a popular address in the economic capital for the variety of its services: five restaurants including Café M, a listed French brasserie with a fine wine cellar, a large outdoor swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, etc.
You have to appreciate grand hotels: this one boasts 255 rooms and suites in a tastefully classic style.
The room to book: one with a view of the Hassan II Mosque in the distance.
The price: from €220 for a double room with breakfast.
