1. Frishman Beach, the French beach

Frishman Beach is where we go in Tel Aviv when we want that classic city-meets-sea combo without any logistical drama. It has long been known as a favorite with French visitors, but honestly, you do not need to be French to understand the appeal. This beach just gets it right.

For one thing, it sits a short stroll from central Tel Aviv. You can finish breakfast, wander down with your towel, claim your patch of sand, and be in the Mediterranean before your coffee has fully worn off. Afterwards, you can drift back into the city and admire the area’s many Bauhaus buildings, because Tel Aviv does love giving us beach and architecture in one neat little package.

For another, Frishman stays lively from morning into night. Beach bars keep the mood upbeat, music spills into the air, and the whole place leans gloriously summery. If we are hunting for one of the most beautiful beaches in Tel Aviv, Hilton Beach absolutely barges onto the shortlist. This is arguably the most elegant beach in the city. There is a stylish bar, a more refined crowd, and an atmosphere that feels just a little more polished than some of the other stretches along the coast. It has that glossy, see-and-be-seen energy without becoming completely unbearable.

That said, Hilton Beach still works for all kinds of travelers. You can come here to relax, swim, people-watch, or strike up conversations if that is your thing. Just keep in mind that “beautiful and central” in Tel Aviv often translates to “very busy.” Tourists flock here in impressive numbers, so if we want a good spot or a sun lounger, arriving early is the move.

3. Tel Baruch, the historical

HaTsuk Beach, also known as Mandarin Beach, is one of the best-maintained beaches in Tel Aviv—and yes, it shows. Lawns, showers, changing rooms, play areas, walking paths, and even an outdoor gym all help give it a polished, well-organized feel that some other beaches can only dream about.

During peak season there is an entrance fee, but that extra cost helps keep the beach in such good condition. If we value cleanliness, comfort, and a slightly more curated atmosphere, it can feel well worth it.

Located in the northern part of Tel Aviv, beyond Namal port, HaTsuk has a more upscale, almost private-club kind of mood. It is the sort of beach we choose when we want things to feel a little more orderly and a little more luxurious.
