Esinti Restaurant
While it’s less well-known than Söğüt’s more popular restaurants, its seaside tables, food, and service make it a truly delightful restaurant. You can find seafood pastry, calamari, fava, Cretan paste, salads, and fish in generous portions. The sunset is also magnificent from here. Tea and coffee are served.

Denizkızı Restaurant Muhammed’in Yeri
It’s a friendly, unpretentious establishment offering consistent service. Grilled octopus, calamari, shrimp, fish, olive oil dishes—everything is fresh and delicious. It’s located in one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset over Simi Island. It’s also a guesthouse. While space on the beach/pier is limited, there’s a large terrace.

Ahtapotçu Mehmet Usta’nın Yeri
Second recommendation from the region is Ahtapotçu Mehmet Usta, one of Söğüt’s oldest establishments. It’s a family-run establishment right on the beach. Be sure to try the fried, cubed octopus they call “lokum.” Other options include octopus cooked in a casserole, octopus casserole with kashar, onion, pepper, and tomato, and grilled octopus. This is a restaurant where you can dine on the pier overlooking the sea.

Octopus Restaurant
Octopus Restaurant is Söğüt’s most famous gastronomic spot. Originally a fishmonger’s tavern in 1985, it’s evolved into a place where boats line up at the dock. They offer approximately 40 different appetizers, including grilled baby calamari, stuffed calamari, seafood pastry, stuffed zucchini blossoms, and specialties like atomic bomb. The sunset you experience here is unforgettable.

Manzara Restaurant
Manzara Restaurant might be the most talked-about restaurant in all of Marmaris. Originally a small restaurant run by a fishing family in Söğüt Village, the rise of yacht tourism in the region has seen both the food and the prices skyrocket. This is undoubtedly because Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates have dined and drank here when they visited on their boats. Don’t be surprised to find sashimi and tataki on the menu, as the restaurant maintains its welcoming decor with wooden tables and chairs.
Sunset at Manzara Restaurant, where the sun sets right over Simi, is a Söğüt classic. You can just have a drink or stay for dinner. Let’s be clear upfront that prices are high. There’s no menu, so be sure to ask the waiter specifically for the price to avoid any unpleasant surprises at the end of your meal. And don’t order the tasting menu. If you’re not looking to spend too much, you can order a portion.

Sardunya Restaurant

Located in Selimiye Bazaar, Paprika is a family-run establishment that has won hearts with its simple decor and delicious desserts, including poppy seed semolina dessert, cheesecake with Oreo or milk jam, tiramisu with thyme, lavender pudding, and strawberry magnolia. Their jams and marmalades are also excellent. Their homemade lemonade is also delicious. The strawberry lemonade topped with cotton candy is a particular favorite. Limon Ağacı is the place to get the best ice cream in Bozburun. It’s made from a blend of goat and cow milk. In the summer, their sorbet ice cream with seasonal fruit pieces like melon, peach, lemon, and cherry is a hit. Their rice pudding is also famous.

Hollandalı Ahmet, Kumlubük
Dutch Ahmet has been a favorite restaurant for boaters since 1981. It’s also the most famous spot on Kumlubük Beach. The restaurant has hosted numerous royalty, silver screen celebrities, and members of the international jet set. Its sushi is especially renowned. A Far Eastern and a Turkish chef worked together in the kitchen, but the former chef returned home during the pandemic. Still, the sushi and sashimi we tried on our last visit were quite good. You’ll also find options from Chinese, French, and other Mediterranean cuisines on the menu. The lady who runs it isn’t very popular, but we haven’t had a negative experience.

Mehmet’s Place
A modest family-run restaurant in Çiftlik Bay. Their appetizers are fresh, and their roasted meat is a hit. They serve fresh flatbread every morning. Instead of bread, they serve flatbread. The front of the restaurant also doubles as a beachfront establishment. They generally don’t charge for sunbeds if you eat or drink, but things can change seasonally.

The Pilos Deluxe Hotel’s restaurant and beach bar. Its bohemian design creates a delightful atmosphere. Even if you’re not a hotel guest, you can still visit the beach and restaurant. The Beach’s menu focuses on Mediterranean cuisine. In addition to classics like grilled octopus, shrimp, and seafood pasta, you’ll also find elegant dishes like carpaccio and robespierre. Located in the Gulf of Hisarönü, it’s a must-visit spot for its beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. However, it’s important to note that this restaurant is only accessible from the sea. You’ll find dishes like moustachioed shrimp, fish kokoreç, grilled calamari, rakiki, cumin-infused cuttlefish, salted sardines, and tandoori sea bass. They also make crispy zucchini just like in Greece. Cash is essential, as credit cards are not accepted.

Pineapple
Located within Netsel Marina, this is one of the most classic venues in central Marmaris. Because it’s located within the marina, prices are a bit higher than the rest of the city. However, the portions are large, the atmosphere is pleasant, the service is good, and the taste is decent. The menu includes döner kebab and French onion soup. It’s one of the few restaurants in the city center open late into the evening.

Felix, one of the establishments on the beachfront in the city center, is a great option if you’re looking for a drink and a snack to share. The Felix Burger is particularly popular, and its prices are reasonable.

Bono Good Times
Located on Barbaros Street, along the waterfront, Bono Good Times is a decent spot in central Marmaris. It’s mostly a young person’s choice. It’s packed at all hours. If you don’t have a reservation, you might have trouble finding a table. The menu offers pasta, pizza, hamburgers, and a variety of meats. Their sushi is especially popular. Prices are reasonable. They even host DJ performances in the evenings during the summer months.
