1. The Tap
Popular nightlife spot. Sometimes they have live music on certain nights, so it’s a good idea to check their Facebook page to see what’s happening. And speaking of food, they offer a wide range of pub food options. Their wings are particularly famous, so you don’t need to eat a big dinner before you go there. 2. Crimson Cairo
Crimson Cairo is a rooftop restaurant and bar located in Zamalek, offering stunning views of the Nile River. 3. Pier 88
Pier 88 is a wonderful place to eat during the day and on most weekdays. However, on weekend nights and Tuesdays, it transforms into a more alluring lounge and bar atmosphere. During these times, you’ll find people standing and mingling near the bar or at their tables.
Pier 88 has a view of the Nile in Zamalek, and if you’re interested, there’s a small outdoor space where you can enjoy the river breeze. It’s a versatile spot that offers both dining and a lively social scene.

4. Cairo Jazz Club
Cairo Jazz Club (CJC) has been a cornerstone of Cairo’s nightlife for over 15 years. Although the name suggests jazz, it’s much more diverse than that. CJC hosts various music styles every night, including live performances, hip-hop, DJs, jazz, Egyptian folk music, and much more.
One of the cool things about CJC is that they have a monthly schedule, so you can plan ahead to see if the music that night matches your preferences. The music usually starts around 10-10:30 pm, so if you’re looking to grab a bite or have a proper conversation before the music gets loud, it’s a good idea to arrive a bit earlier.
CJC is around a five-minute car ride from Zamalek. It’s a great spot to enjoy a diverse range of music and have a good time.

5. Cairo Jazz Club 610
Cairo Jazz Club has a larger branch on the west side of Cairo, in Sheikh Zayed. Unlike the original club, which is more compact and can get crowded, the Sheikh Zayed location, known as 610, offers a spacious open-air terrace and bar that’s connected to the main club. You can use this area to relax or take a break when you want some fresh air.
Inside, there are two big bars, a stage for DJs and live performers, and tables spread across the dance floor. They also have their own weekly music schedules, making it one of the best places in Cairo to dance and have a great time. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a more expansive and open atmosphere compared to the original Cairo Jazz Club.

6. El Barrio
In Korba, there’s the 1920s Boutique Hotel that has a number of restaurants and bars, and one of the highlights is El Barrio. This bar has a Cuban theme and offers outdoor seating. 7. The Smokery Heliopolis

8. Pinchos
This tapas bar and lounge is also located within the 1920s Boutique Hotel. It has an indoor bar and dining space, as well as a small balcony outside where you can enjoy some fresh air. 9. Carlo’s
Carlo’s is quite a gem. Its first location was on the Le Pacha 1901 boat in Zamalek. They’ve expanded to have branches in Heliopolis, Sheikh Zayed, and New Cairo. They’re famous for their impressive menu that covers a range of cuisines, from Egyptian favorites to Italian and Indian dishes. Additionally, they’re well-known for their shisha and drinks. 10. La Terrace President
Located on the highest floor of the President Hotel is La Terrace, a versatile venue that combines a full-fledged restaurant, serving breakfast through late-night dinner, and a spot for drinks. They offer an extensive selection of wines and imported spirits.
